Gladys Rosa-Mendoza

Gladys Rosa-Mendoza is the owner, Chief Thinker, and Information Architect at africanamericanbookandmedia.com, inc. She is responsible for developing and driving africanamericanbookandmedia.com’s creative vision. Gladys orchestrates teams of strategists, designers, information architects, analysts, and others to produce solutions to our client’s unique problems. Based outside of Chicago, africanamericanbookandmedia.com has produced products and services corporations like American Family Insurance, Banco Popular, and AT and T for more than 20 years. africanamericanbookandmedia.com has also developed and produced hundreds of programs and publications for top publishers and associations like Harper-Collins, McGraw-Hill, Pearson Educational, DK, Readers Digest, American Academy of Pediatrics, and more. Gladys’ work in the Latino community has won her numerous awards from organizations like the Pan American Chamber of Commerce, the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, and the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce.

Gladys is also the author and publisher of the English Spanish Foundation Series, the number-one bilingual children’s board book series in the country. Her series has won five Latino Literacy Awards, the Benjamin Franklin Award, Book/Media award, and seven Writer’s Digest Certificates of Merit.

In addition, Gladys has a bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has done graduate work at IIT’s Institute of Design. While at the Art Institute, Gladys won a scholarship to study in Europe at the Basel School of Design. She has also won the Georgia Governor’s Honor Award for achievement in Art, and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the American Book Producers Association.

Mark Wesley

Mark Wesley is the Visionary Innovator for africanamericanbookandmedia.com, inc. Wesley is responsible for developing systems and processes that help create value for our clients. For more than 20 years africanamericanbookandmedia.com has produced programs for large and small publishers alike. Many of the projects have been produced in English and 40 other languages. In addition, he helped develop the Hispanic Woman’s Business Conference and Expo. He was nominated to the White House Council on Small Business, and africanamericanbookandmedia.com was awarded the Chicago Latino Business of the Year. In 2004 he developed spanishbookmarket.com, an informational website to help publishers who are interested in producing products for the U.S. Latino market. Wesley is also the co-producer of the highly successful English Spanish Foundation Series. Presently he is working on a series of upcoming TV shows, Memi and Yo!, Lupe Lupita Where Are You, and The Mayan Tales.

Wesley has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia Southern in Marketing. He started his career in the United States Military, where he was a platoon leader. After the military Wesley worked in the Sales and Marketing department at Kraft General Foods—Oscar Mayer Division.
